Positive Elation is a soul-charged, progressive urban fusion project rooted in both the UK and USA, blending movement, melody, and message. Born from decades of creativity, life experience, and a desire to uplift, the group brings together seasoned performers whose journeys span international stages, underground sound systems, and transformational life paths.
The heartbeat of the sound pulses through Nybacush, a London-born dancer, choreographer, drummer, and vocalist of Antiguan and Jamaican heritage, and The Imperial AlaskaLP, a US-born DJ, MC, and vocalist whose transatlantic journey has carried him from the Miami bass scene to Birmingham’s conscious music movement. Together, they’ve honed their vision with the guidance and mentorship of legends such as D'Major, the revered Birmingham producer and elder of the underground, whose studio became a forge for sound with spirit.
Every track is a testament to their lived experiences, their cultural lineages, and their intention to heal and inspire. Positive Elation is not just music—it’s movement. A celebration of resilience, rhythm, and the power of creative unity..
But the journey has not been without loss.
After the passing of beloved producer and sonic visionary D’Majah (Birmingham, UK), time stood still. Sessions paused. Hearts hurt in ways words couldn’t express. And yet, from the silence, a new motion stirred. Not just to make music — but to honor it. To let it breathe, heal, and build bridges.
Now, Positive Elation returns with a renewed sense of purpose:
